Quality Assurance
The primary goal of the quality assurance program at Thornton Laboratories, Inc. is to assure the quality and integrity of all test results. This is accomplished by assuring that:
- Adequate physical facilities are maintained
- Qualified individuals direct and perform the testing
- Appropriate procedures are employed
- Adequate procedures for the evaluation of data for precision and accuracy are utilized
- Data handling is carried out in a clear and efficient manner
Laboratory Facilities
Thornton Laboratories operates from a two-story building of approximately 15,000 square feet. Of this area, one fifth is office space. The remaining laboratory is divided into fourteen separate work areas. Sufficient chemical and sample storage area is available including 500 square feet of refrigerated storage space.
Staff
Our staff includes chemist and microbiologist, laboratory and field technicians, cargo samplers, inspectors and surveyors. The laboratory director, quality assurance officer and project mangers are on site to assure reliable data.
