Food Analysis
Quality Assurance:
The analysts utilize the methods of the "Official Methods of Analysis" developed by the Association of Official Analytical Chemists, the FDA's "Bacteriological nalytical Manual", "Standard Methods for Examination of Dairy Products" from the American Public Health Association and the "Compendium of Methods for the Microbiological Examination of Foods" from the American Public Health Association. As members of the Institute of Food Technologists, the Florida Association of Food Protections, the Florida Environmental Health Association and the Association of Official Analytical Chemists, we are familiar with their methods and guidelines. The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services includes Thornton Laboratories on their approved list of food laboratories.
